Don't miss out on the unforgettable experience Special Tours offers you in whale watching: Whale Watching Express! Our express whale watching boat, Lilja, is one of the newest additions to our fleet. Lilja was remodelled in 2014 on the inside, and in spring 2016 it was transformed on the outside when we added excellent viewing platforms on the decks to make it possible for all our guests to find a place for viewing the amazing nature & wildlife around us here on Faxaflói bay. The boat is licensed for 189 passengers and is extremely well organized in terms of passenger comfort, both on the inside and outside on the decks. The whale watching tours start from Reykjavik's Old Harbour. From there it takes Lilja only 15-20 minutes to get to the whale watching area. In the whale watching tours you'll see whales in their natural environment, often quite up close and personal. The friendly guides and captain point out where to spot the whales on the surface of the sea and give you interesting information about the different kinds of whales you can expect to see.
