8 days / 7 nights where you will get astonished by the beauty and historical Denmark. We will visit historical and beautiful castles, experience places from the Viking age including original Viking ships, the very top of Denmark which is known for the amazing light and of course the place where the fairy tail writer H. C. Andersen is born among others. The Danes has been nominated to the happiest people in the world several times and are the best to “hygge” (meaning how to make things very cosy). We will tell you all about it and maybe you can even go home bringing the Danish hygge back with you. This trip will be like a fairy tail and an absolutely an unforgettable experience.

DAY 2
Copenhagen – Kronborg – Roskilde – North West Zealand

Copenhagen – Kronborg – Roskilde – North West Zealand

The tour begins by driving north along the beautiful coastline towards Helsingør to see Kronborg castle – home of Hamlet. Kronborg is a beautiful and amazing renaissance castle and is on the UNESCO world of heritage list. After Kronborg we continue driving towards Roskilde. Roskilde is situated just next to
Roskilde Fjord which is the place where original Viking ships has been found. You will see these Viking ships at the Viking ship museum and before leaving Roskilde we will visit Roskilde Cathedral where 1000 years of history are gathered and where 40 kings and queens are buried. Roskilde Cathedral is also
on the UNESCO world of heritage list. We will drive to a hotel situated with a beautiful view to Holbæk Fjord or simular where we will stay the night. 

DAY 3
North West Zealand – Aarhus in Jutland peninsula

We will catch the ferry to Aarhus from Odden. Aarhus is the second biggest city in Denmark and was the European capital of culture in 2017. First we will visit the old town which is an open-air museum with centuries-old timbered houses. After the old town we will have a guided tour of Aarhus. We will see the latin quarter and Aarhus cathedral and Marselisborg palace. The palace belongs to the royal family and is used by the queen Margrethe II from time to time. All
depending if the queen is there we can get pretty close to the castle. The castle is surrounded by a beautiful forest. We will see Moesgaard and Arosmuseums from the outside. After check-in at Radisson Blu Hotel or similar you will have the afternoon on your own to go shopping, visit a museum or just relaxing..

DAY 4
Ribe – Skagen

After breakfast we drive to Jelling – home to the Viking kings. Jelling is on the UNESCO world of heritage list. Here you will see the area where Gorm the old and Harald Bluetooth lived. Gorm The old and his wife Thyra´s mounds and an old church lying between them. Just next to the church you will see the famous rune stone. You will also visit The Experience center where you will have an exciting voyage from the stories that were told to the life as a Viking and a warrior, the path to Valhalla as well as the transition to Christianity. After lunch we continue to the most northern place in Denmark – Skagen. Just before Skagen we will visit Råbjerg Mile which is the largest moving dune in Northern Europe. We continue to Skagen Hotel or similar where you will stay for the night.

DAY 5
Skagen

The morning you will have on your own. You can visit Ancher´s house (the world famous painter) where they lived. You can also visit Skagens museum where you among others will see the amazing paintings of the famous Skagen painters. You can walk around the town and see the characteristic yellow houses Skagen is very famous for or you can take a walk to the harbor which is full of life. Before leaving Skagen we will make a stop at the very top of Denmark where the two sea´s Skagerrak and Kattegat meet. While driving towards Aarhus we will make a quick stop at the sand covered church before driving towards the second biggest city in Denmark – Aarhus. Aarhus was the European capital of culture in 2017 houses. After the open-air museum you will check-in at Radisson Blu Hotel or similar.

DAY 6
Aarhus – North-West Zealand

After breakfast we will have a roundtour of Aarhus. We will see the latin quarter and Aarhus cathedral. You will see Marselisborg palace. The palace belongs to the royal family and is used by the queen Margrethe II from time to time. All depending if the queen is there we can get pretty close to the castle. The castle is surrounded by a beautiful forest. We will see Moesgaard and Aros museums from the outside After the round tour we will visit the old town which is an open-air museum with centuries-old timbered We will catch the ferry back to Zealand and drive to a hotel situated with a beautiful view to Holbæk Fjord where we will stay the night.

DAY 7
Mid Zealand – Copenhagen

After breakfast we continue driving towards Roskilde. Roskilde is situated just next to Roskilde Fjord which is the place where original Viking ships has been found. You will see these Viking ships at the Viking ship museum and before leaving Roskilde we will visit Roskilde Cathedral where 1000 years of history are gathered and where 40 kings and queens are buried. After Roskilde we continue towards Helsingør to see Kronborg castle – home of Hamlet. Kronborg is a beautiful and amazing renaissance castle and is on the UNESCO world of heritage list. At 17:00 you´ll be back at Copenhagen.
