Winter Hiking - Tiveden National Park One-day tour

Experience our wonderful nature in winter together with our skilled guide. With snow the winter walk is done with snow shoes. Our nature is even more amazing to explore in snow and ice. The chances are good that we can follow animal tracks, even a lynx if we are lucky. During this tour you really get the feeling of being an explorer or trapper in Alaska back in the days.

With clear skies you will be able to look out over lakes and landscapes from one of the view-points we stop by.
According to Finnish scientists in the field of acoustics there is nothing as silent as a Scandinavian forest in winter!

Meeting place

The guided tour takes place in the forests of Tiveden national park. Tiveden is situated right between Stochkholm and Gothenburg in south Sweden. We meet up at Tiveds skola (Tived school). By car – follow the signs for Tiveden national park. From Karlsborg: 25 km. From Askersund: 30 km. From Laxå: 38 km. Train station in Laxå. Transfer is possible from Laxå, Laxå train station and nearby airports. All transports included during the safari.

A Winter hike is a really nice thing to do

Remember that you need wamr clothing and it is a good idea to bring an extra warm sweater or socks

When it is Cold, it is like a desert in the air. Yes it is true. So you need to hydrate good in advance and bring an extra bottle of water

Good warm shoes are very important

This hike is moderate for a normal healthy person, some stretches are challenging.
