Description

Abisko Northern Lights tour with small group

Welcome to Abisko, in the arctic circle, the best place in the world to see the northern lights and its’ longest northern lights tour with Lights of Vikings.

After we pick you up from your hotel in Abisko or Björkliden, our night journey will start at our base in Abisko village.

We will make a fire and prepare BBQ dinner in our Sami tent or our cozy wood cabin. We will cook reindeer (or vegetable on request) for you and we will explain everything about the aurora borealis.

When we finish the dinner, we will drive you to our northern lights secret location that depends on each night according to the weather conditions.

We are famous for driving long distances to find the northern lights. It doesn’t matter if there are clouds over Abisko, we can take you to Kiruna’s arctic forest or even to coast of Norway! Wherever we go during the tour, we will tell you many stories about the northern lights and Vikings.

After finding clear sky, we’ll admire the aurora borealis and we will take pictures and videos which we’ll send to you within 3 days after the tour. If you bring your own camera, we will help you set it up to get the best shots of the northern lights.

As the northern lights dance in the sky we will serve hot drinks and make a camp fire for you to keep warm.

“Abisko National Park is the best place in the world to see the northern lights because of its blue hole and micro climate. We have the most cloud free nights compared to other places in the Arctic Circle.”
