Day 1 - Tromsø - Kvaløyvågen-Gåsvær-Risøy

Departure: 12:00 or according to aggreement

We welcome you and your friends to Tromsø and on board our luxury catamaran, Arctic Princess. We get to know the Skipper and the boat's facilities.

When everyone has checked in and found themselves at ease, we head north.
We sail through Kvalsundet course towards the cozy fishing village, Kvaløyvågen.
Here we stop and go ashore and experience the surroundings with photos and relaxation.
We have lunch before we continue towards the beautiful place Gåsvær.

Gåsvær is a super beautiful island with 2 houses, a beautiful sandy beach, pier, church, cemetery. People lived here from the 17th century to the 1960s. They lived by fishing and grazing sheep. At the moment, some are coming from March to November. The island is private, but it is allowed to visit it. They still bury people associated with the island in the cemetery. You only are able to come here by boat.

We go ashore and experience this beautiful little island. All sides of the island are reached with a short little walk. The view is formidable.

Then the journey continues to Risøya. Risøya is an island in the sea in Tromsø municipality approx. 50 kilometers northwest of Tromsø. Risøya is surrounded by over 150 islets and more than 200 reefs. The main house on Risøya was built in 1856, but most likely the island has been inhabited long back in history. From 1850 onwards, there was a lot of activity on Risøya with collecting eggs / down and fish. Like eggs and downy weather, Risøya was the second largest in the country after Vardøhus Fortress. The Jacobsen family was also strongly involved in Arctic fishing, and owned the Arctic vessels Ægir and Hanseat. In 1995, the Store Risøya landscape conservation area was established.

Here we find a suitable place to anchor and lie down until the next day. We eat lunch and relax in the daylight at night (May - August) or experience the northern lights (September - March)

Day 2 - Sandvær-Breivika-Engvika-Løksefjord-Tromsø

After we have eaten breakfast, we set course for beautiful Sandvær at Sandøya.

Sandvær is - like Risvær - an eldorado of islets, reefs, seals, birds and vegetation. Sandvær is also a bird sanctuary.
Sandvær has most - of everything. Sun, panoramic views, beautiful sandy beaches and enough weather. We dock and visit the place. For those who wish, this is a great place for a short summit hike with stunning and spectacular views. On the quay is a nice little restaurant. Here we have to order food before we arrive at the place. If possible, we eat a delicious lunch here, before we sail on to the special beach, Breivika on Rebbenesøya.

Breivika is a strange "bird" in the outer flora. On the steep and inhospitable northwest side of Rebbenesøya, a one and a half kilometer long sandy beach suddenly opens up with a lush valley behind which is most reminiscent of the Garden of Eden. A colorful, bulging lung in the middle of all the harshness.

After a short photo stop, we turn towards the small trading place Envik. Engvik is a small settlement on Rebbenesøya in Tromsø municipality. The village has only five permanent residents. The only store on Rebbenesøy is located in Engvik. We go ashore and experience the landscape and pay a visit to the shop.

Before we set course back to Tromsø, we stop at Løksefjord or Hølkefjorden to watch the eagles. Here we often observe several sea eagles in their natural environment. We continue along Rebbenesøy and into Kvalsundet and then head towards Tromsø.
