Departing from Merchants Road, Gawlay, outside the Kinlay Hostel at 09:30 daily and travelling south along the Wild Atlantic Way, your fully trained, local driver / guide will take you on a journey through the history and landscapes of Ireland.
Your first stop is at Dunguaire Castle on the outskirts of Kinvara. This is one of the most photographed castles in the whole of Ireland.
Then it’s on through the glacio-karst landscape of the Burren and past Corcomroe Abbey. This fascinating 12th century Cistercian Abbey is noted for its distinguished carvings and rich ornamentation.
We follow the Wild Atlantic Way along the coast of County Clare, passing Black Head, Wild Atlantic Way - Discovery Point and Fanore Strand, Wild Atlantic Way - Discovery Point.
From here you can see the three Aran Islands, Inishmore (Inis Mor), Inishmann (Inis Meain) and Inisheer (Inis Oirr), locking in Galway Bay and in the distance the mountains of Connemara.
A photo stop at Doolin pier gives you a chance to feel the Atlantic wind in your face and to see the power of the sea as it crashes in on the shore. During the summer months, there is an opportunity to join a cruise to the base of the Cliffs of Moher. (cruise not included).
After you’ve worked up an appetite on the beach it’s onto Doolin Hotel for lunch. (Lunch not included). Try any of the local sea food dishes, you won’t be disappointed.
Next up is our main stop of the day, the Cliffs of Moher for a 2 hour stop. Wild Atlantic Way - Signature Point
The Cliffs of Moher are one of Irelands most spectacular sights and one of the 'Signature Points' on the Wild Atlantic Way.
Rising 214 meters out of the Atlantic Ocean, the Cliffs of Moher offer one of the most amazing views in Ireland. (entry fee included).
After the Cliffs of Moher, you'll return to Galway via Lisdoonvarna, famous for it's annual match making festival.
Tour returns to Galway City between 17:00 and 17:30.

Our locally sourced and trained driver / guide will take you from Galway on a coastal drive along the Wild Atlantic Way, through the Burren and up to the Cliffs of Moher. En route, you will pass medieval castles, beautiful little villages, fields of dry stone walls and amazing coastal views. Our driver / guide will entertain you with insights into the geology, history and stories of the landscapes in view.
Our first stop of the day is Dunguaire Castle on the outskirts of Kinvara. This medieval tower house castle is one of the most photographed in all of Ireland. From here we will travel along the coast road, Wild Atlantic Way to Doolin.
The pier in Doolin is a hive of activity during the summer months with ferries coming and going to the Aran Islands. During the summer months, there is an opportunity to join a Cliffs of Moher cruise, beneath the Cliffs of Moher, speak to our driver / guide. During the winter months, the power of the Atlantic Ocean is observed as the waves crash onto the beach and shoreline.
Doolin Hotel offers a number of food outlets for a hearty lunch after the sea air at the pier and ahead of the Cliffs of Moher.
After our lunch, we re-board the tour vehicle for the short drive to the Cliffs of Moher.
Once at the Cliffs of Moher, our driver / guide will present you with your entry ticket to the visitors centre, ticket included in tour price.The Cliffs of Moher is Ireland's most visited natural attraction. Standing at 214 meters at their highest point and stretching out for 8 km along the Wild Atlantic Way. The Cliffs of Moher offer one of the most spectacular views in Ireland. Your ticket entitles you to admission to the eco-friendly visitors centre, The Atlantic Edge. The Atlantic Edge exhibition brings the story of the cliffs to life.
After our Cliffs of Moher stop it is time to re-board the tour vehicle, sit back and relax while our driver / guide returns you to Galway via Lisdoonvarna and the Burren. The County Clare town of Lisdoonvarna is famous for it's spa well and annual Matchmaking Festival. The Burren is one of the worlds best examples of a Glacio-Karst landscape and from the tour vehicle today you will get amazing views of this lunar-like landscape. Where possible the tour vehicle will stop for photo opportunities.
Our Cliffs of Moher and Burren tour terminates at our departure point on Merchants Road, Galway. Time to say a final 'Good Bye' or 'Slan Abhaile' to our driver / guide.
