The ever'changing landscape of South Iceland sets the stage for an impressive cast of powerful volcanoes, majestic glaciers and thundering waterfalls. Discover some of Iceland's enchanting attractions on this outing along the South Coast. We begin by visiting one of Iceland's largest waterfalls, Skógafoss. The sheer power of it is truly a sight to see.
We venture into the quaint beachside town of Vík for lunch, which is available for purchase. We then move on to Reynisfjara black sand beach. This strikingly unique landscape has been chosen as a filming location for multiple TV series and Hollywood films. We explore the volcanic pebble beach and learn a little about the fascinating history of the region from our expert guide. Some of the more impressive sights include the odd rock face of columnar basalt, looming cliffs, hidden caves and the magnificent Reynisdrangar basalt sea stacks that rise from the ocean at the foot of Reynisfjall mountain.
As we drive along the picturesque coast, we stop to admire the immensity of the Sólheimajökull glacier and breathe in the fresh, icy air. Lastly we visit Seljalandsfoss where you'll get the chance to walk behind a waterfall (weather permitting).
Experience the top sights of south Iceland on this comprehensive tour and discover the amazing diversity in Iceland's landscape.
