Silfra Snorkeling & Horseback Riding One-day tour

Our partner: Adventure Vikings

Snorkeling and Horseback Riding is a perfect combination for those who want to experience a great outdoor day in Iceland. You’ll enjoy snorkeling in the freshwater fissure Silfra, which is known to be one of the best dive sites in the world. After the snorkeling tour, we will drive to Reykjavik for your horse riding tour. You will enjoy riding an Icelandic horse known for their five gaits.

This is a pure nature trip. You’ll be snorkeling in either wet- or drysuit all depending on your wishes. By wearing the wetsuit you will be able to dive underneath the surface of Silfra which allows for a more flexible experience whereas the dry suits keeps you dry and afloat. Silfra is situated at the UNESCO World Heritage site in Thingvellir National Park, where the earth drifts apart around 2 centimeters every year as the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates move in opposite directions – creating such natural wonders as is Silfra.

The horseback riding will take place on a beautiful path along the Redhills or Rauðavatn, riding tour is about 1,5 - 2 hours. You will enjoy the Icelandic nature at the same time you are getting to know these small friendly horses, after the riding tour, we will drive you back to the city.

This tour is operated in cooperation with Sólhestar horse rental.
