In just one day you will experience:

Don´t worry about the equipment, the price of the tour includes waterproof mountaineering boots, technical glacier equipment and extra rain gear. Also, knowledgable and certified guide is a matter of course on all of your tours.

The booking process is simple:

1. Select your preferred date of travel

2. Book a single spot and you can have up to 6 persons on the tour. The price is total for 1person up to 6persons.

3. Send us your Shoe sizes and rainwear sizes

4. Have a great private day with our Icelandic local guides on the South coast

See the program of your trip:

  • We pick you up with a luxurious minivan at your accommodation in Reykjavík at 08:00. 
  • The road takes us along a spectacular South coast with ash mountains, waterfalls and volcanos. 
  • We go towards Hvolsvöllur, where we stop at a café for refreshments.
  • The trip continues towards Seljalandsfoss for a photostop and a short walk.
  • The South coast black sand beaches are the next destination with your private minivan excursion.
  • Then we reach the destination of Sólheimajökull outlet glacier. We gear up at parking lot and start the hike to the glacier.
  • We spend nice time hiking through the glacier and exploring crevasses and swell holes. Our guide will introduce you properly the glacial wonder world. There is also the option of ice climbing! After about 1,5 hours on the ice we make our way back to the parking lot. 
  • From there we have a 15min drive to Skógafoss waterfall where we make a short scenic stop. The ones with some energy left can climb up to enjoy magnificent view of the waterfall from above.
  • Afterwards we drive back to Reykjavík and dropp you off at your hotel.
What to bring: Warm waterproof outdoor clothing, head wear and gloves, snack and water bottle that can be refilled on the glacier.

Reykjavik - A scenic and informative drive from Reykjavík towards Hvolsvöllur Where a stop will be made at a café.

Hvolsvöllur - A refreshment stop at a local Café after the scenic and informative drive from Reykjavík.

Seljalandsfoss - A photo stop and a short walk at Seljalandsfoss waterfall. A short walk through the canyons.

Sólheimajökull Glacier hiking (Private tour) - A Private glacier experience, tailor made towards each group. A 1,5hrs hike on the ice with a certified guide. informative session on glaciology and history. A great way to enjoy the glacier in a small private group with a private guide.

Reynisfjara beach - See the black sand beaches of Reynisfjara. Basaltic columns and the North Atlantic ocean.

Skógafoss - Skógafoss waterfall visited with the option of a short break at the local Café. A picture and history session on the local area before the drive back to Reykjavík.

Reykjavik - A regular endpoint is at Reykjavík. All drop off destinations can be upon request and could be anywhere in the close vicinity of the capital area.
