On this your, you will be picked up at your designated pick up location at the time stated on your voucher. Please note that the pick up can take up to 30 minutes.
We started rafting the Hvítá River approx. 30 years ago and since then it has been the most popular adventure activities in Iceland. Located about 90 minutes from Reykjavík, the Hvítá river has a perfect mix of serene canyons and adrenaline pumping rapids. On our way we pass through the magnificent Brúarhlöð canyon where participants can jump from high cliffs into the glacier waters.
Experience Iceland's wild water and glacier river. Rafting down the entire length of the river will take us up to an hour or hour and a half. Following the excursion, we will close with a relaxing time in the sauna. The Drumbó base camp serves a traditional lamb bbq buffet every day from May - September at 12:30 and 17:30. This is a great place to stop for lunch or early dinner before or after your rafting trip (you can add this to your trip as an extra).
PLEASE NOTE: Although you don´t need to "swim" while river rafting/canoeing, we recommend that you can. Thus, we prefer everyone on this tour to be able to swim or at least comfortable with floating in water.
