Warm clothes
Camera
Bring warm clothes as winter nights in Iceland tend to be quite cold, even when gathered around a bonfire.
For over 200 years it has been a custom to have community bonfires on New Year's Eve in towns and villages around Iceland. After dinner, families, friends and neighbours gather around the fire where they sing songs and light sparklers. We will visit one of these bonfires and join in the celebration with the locals.
