This combo tour provides the thrill of tearing through the fresh Icelandic snow on your ATV followed by a night hunting the sky for an aurora storm. Pair the Thrilling With the Dazzling! The tour begins after the sun has fully set and the darkness takes over the Icelandic sky. The sun is quite shy here in winter, so it‘s a good thing our ATVs are equipped to handle the snow & darkness. Your keen sense of adventure is just about as important as those mittens on your hands for this tour. Your Safari Quads Guide will meet you at your hotel accomodation to take you to our Safari Quads Basecamp where the excitement begins. Before we hit the off-road trails in our natural playground, our guides will teach you how to operate the bikes and discuss safety instructions. Once everyone is geared up and ready to go, we head out for our adventure up to Hafrafjall mountain and beyond. The ATV tour is one full hour out on the trails that cut through the ruggedly beautigful Icelandic landscape. After the tour, we relax, defrost and enjoy a hot cup of coffee then afterwards drop you off at the Gray Line bus station for part two of your excursion. Let Mother Nature Show You Her Magic! The hunt for the Northern Lights is on! We take you out of Reykjavík city to the best places to see the Northern Lights swirling across the night sky in their magnificent shapes and colours. Located under the Auroral Oval, Iceland is one of the best places on Earth to experience the beautiful and mysterious northern lights. Northern lights (Aurora Borealis) are most frequently seen around the North Pole, within an oval shaped region drawn around the Northern hemisphere called the aurora oval. Iceland lies within this most active region meaning that the Northern lights are potentially visible from every place in Iceland. You‘ll be accompanied by an engaging and educated guide as he takes you on your journey away from the buzz of the city to check off the item at the very top of your bucket list.

Pick up by Safari Quads, please be ready outside your pick up location at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time. If the weather conditions are unfavorable for viewing the Northern Lights, the Northern Lights part of the tour may be cancelled. In those cases we offer either a refund of the Northern Lights tour or you can rebook the Northern Lights for another night. The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, so even if the tour is operated there is no guarantee that you will be able to see the lights. If no lights are seen on your tour, you can rebook the Northern Lights Mystery tour free of charge.
