Auroras by ATV One-day tour

Description

Come hunting Auroras by ATV (quad bike). By ATV we can enjoy riding, see a lot of local nature and reach more distant locations.

Our ATV tours go to the same area as our Auroras Northern Lights tours so maximal chances seeing the lights is guaranteed.

Twin driving by ATV is default. If you want to drive a quad bike by yourself, without another guest, please add the Solo driving supplement under Extras. Private tours available only on special request.

Quad bike is an interesting vehicle that you can drive almost everywhere like on the road, in the forest and on soft swamps. They are widely used in Lapland for reindeer herding, logging and hunting.

An all-terrain vehicle (ATV), also known as a quad, quad bike, three-wheeler, four-wheeler, or quadricycle is defined by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) as a vehicle that travels on low-pressure tires, with a seat that is straddled by the operator, along with handlebars for steering control. As the name implies, it is designed to handle a wider variety of terrain than most other vehicles.

By the current ANSI definition, ATVs are intended for use by a single operator, although some companies have developed ATVs intended for use by the operator and one passenger. These ATVs are referred to as tandem ATVs.[1]

The rider sits on and operates these vehicles like a motorcycle, but the extra wheels give more stability at slower speeds. Although equipped with three or four wheels, six-wheel models exist for specialized applications.

You don’t need a driving license. The effective driving time on this tour is about 2 hours.

You don’t need a driving license. The minimum age for children to join this tour is 4 years old. The effective driving time on this tour is about 2 hours.

The driver of the quad bike (ATV) is held liable for damages caused to the vehicle. The maximum personal liability is 500 € per person / quad bike / accident.

The self-liability waiver reduces the amount of maximum self-liability from 500 € to 200 €. The self-liability waiver costs 20 € per driver per safari and can be bought on our webstore as an optional for our safaris or on the spot before the safari. The self-liability waiver is personal.
