Rovaniemi, The Official Hometown of Santa Claus

Welcome to Rovaniemi! During your first day in Lapland, you will start the tour by walking to the top of Ounasvaara Hill, Rovaniemi´s highest spot. After a relaxing walk through the forest, we will reach the peak of the hill, from where we will enjoy the panoramic views of all Rovaniemi and the astonishing Kemijoki river.

After we walk down the hill, we will visit the most iconic place in Lapland, Santa Claus Village. In Santa´s official home, we will have the chance to meet Santa himself! We will cross the line that marks the beginning of the Arctic Circle, and we will receive a certificate that proves that we crossed into the Arctic region! We will also have the chance to meet the elves working in Santa´s Official Post Office, who will help us send letters or postcards to our loved ones, wherever they might be.

After this lovely experience in such a magical place, we will head on to the accommodation, a nice and cozy hotel twin room, to rest and prepare for the second day!

Lapland Nature Hiking and Reindeer Farm

Although the Arctic is known for harsh winter climate, it is full of green and flourishing forests during the summers. Along the beautiful nature trek, you can find rich varieties of berries and mushrooms. Handpicked directly from the forest, the berries and the mushrooms are the freshest. Enjoy the taste while you are picking them or savor them with a barbecue lunch.

Once well-fed, visit the local reindeer farm and greet the famous, gentle animal of the Arctic. The reindeers roam freely during the winter, and they return to their farms during the summer.
