The best way to experience Mykines for a day. We will take care of everything so that you can relax and enjoy every minute of Mykines and all the puffins. We will supply you with a packed lunch and beverage for the hike.

After you have been picked up in Tórshavn you can enjoy the 40 minutes drive to Sørvágur ferry port. From there we will take the boat to Mykines. The sailing time is around 45 minutes along stunning scenery and cliffs.

Enjoy the sail trip from Sørvágur to Mykines along sights such as Múlafossur waterfall, Tindhólmur and Drangarnir.

Your local Tour Guide will greet you on Mykines and tell you about the history and day to day life on the small island.

The hike begins with you walking along some of the most beautiful scenery the Faroe Islands has to offer. You will normally be surrounded by thousands of birds, especially puffins, and there is plenty of time to stop and take pictures.

Arriving at the westernmost point of the Faroes, where the famous lighthouse is located, you will see plenty of another special type of bird, the Gannet. In the Faroes this majestic bird only lands on Mykineshólmur. An old legend tells the tale of how this came to be which your Guide will be happy to tell you.

At the "Edge of the World" we will have a break and enjoy our packed lunch out in nature.

Hiking back the local Tour Guide will take another route. This is to ensure that you will see as much as possible of the spectacular scenery on your tour.

Enjoy the remaining time in the village by yourself or in the company of your Tour Guide before heading back down to wait for the ferry. There are two small café’s and a small souvénir shop that definitely are worth a visit.

Please note that you will need to be at the Ferry Landing in good time before its arrival and that you will need to keep your Ticket visible to the crew when going onboard. Please take note of the departure time from your Guide.
