After crossing the "only" bridge over the Atlantic as Faroese wrongly call it, we come to the 2nd biggest island in the Faroes Eysturoy.
Here we stop at a gas station to buy a hot beverage (on the house)
After the stop we continue on the island of Eysturoy past the biggest fjord in the Faroes; Skálafjørður. from here we drive past beautiful towns like Syðrugøta, Leirvík and many other smaller towns. After Leirvík we leave the island of Eysturoy and enter the sub sea tunnel that connects the northern islands with the rest.
We are now on the island of Borðoy. We save Klaksvík for later and drive straight through it and head further north. We have a photo stop above the village of Árnafjørður. Here we stand right between two of the most exciting and narrow tunnels in the whole of the islands. and at the same time we have a great view over the fjord.
We now change island again, and are now on the northernmost island in the Faroes; Viðoy. We head all the way north to the beautiful town of Viðareiði, which is famous for its good scenery, but also because it has a rumor for being the most haunted town in the Faroes. There are many stories about ghosts and the supernatural in this town, so this town is not for the faint hearted.
We head back and drive westward to the island of Kunoy. Kunoy is famous for being on average the highest island in the Faroes, so the landscape is dramatic and gorgeous. Here you are welcome to walk freely in the town with the same name as the island itself. The mountains above and the view to the neighbour island Kalsoy makes this sleepy small village something special.
Arrive in the village of Klaksvík, were you will able to walk around while waiting for the ferry to Kalsoy. Klaksvík is the 2nd biggest town in the Faroes, so there is plenty to see, and also a great opportunity to do some shopping as there are stores here. Here you are welcome to explore, but it is important to remember the time as the ferry won't wait for anyone. Here you will also get your lunch.

The farmer is one of only 13 people that live here. While we send them on their way, you have plenty of time to enjoy this gem, which has a great view over to Kunoyar Nakkur (Kunoy) and Enniberg (Viðoy) in the distance. Trøllanes is also a bird watcher's paradise as there are many rare birds to see here, including for example puffins (not very close though) amongst many others.

Thursday The Journey takes us to the Southernmost island in the Faroe Islands Suðuroy, which has been out of the reach for many tourists until now. The reason for this is first and foremost the two hour sail trip each way, and also the difficult bus connections on the island. Suðuroy i known for it’s spectacularly raw landscape, strong culture and nice people with quite a different dialéct than most other Faroese.
