Experience 3 of the most magnificent places in the UK on this day trip from London: Windsor Castle, Stonehenge & the historic city of Bath, home of the Roman Baths. This tour is designed for people with limited time who want to see as much as possible in 1 day so the time given at each location is relatively brief. If you would prefer a more leisurely pace, have a look at our Stonehenge & Bath tour or Windsor Half Day trip.
We start from London & head to Windsor Castle, where entrance is included. Wander through the grand state apartments of a working castle and see where heads of state & monarchs still meet.
Next, we head off to the ancient & mysterious Stonehenge, possibly the UK’s most well-known historical monument and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Lastly, we visit the city of Bath. Your tour guide will give you a short walking tour and then you will have free time to explore this beautiful and historic city. You may want to visit the Roman Baths, the Jane Austen Centre, Bath Abbey or enjoy the many eclectic shops & cafes that Bath has to offer.
Times are subject to change due to local traffic conditions.
We offer 3 pick-up points located in central & west London, all of which are easy to reach by public transport. You can choose to meet us at whichever pick-up point is most convenient for you.
After our London pick-ups, we make the short journey to Windsor by coach. Your tour guide will entertain you with historical highlights of Windsor Castle and its famous residents.
Your tour guide will help you to find your way inside Windsor Castle (entrance is included). There will be approximately 2hrs to explore Windsor Castle’s state apartments, St George’s Chapel & Queen Mary’s Dolls House at your own pace with a multimedia guide provided by Windsor Castle, subject to availability.
This time is approximate and will depend on the arrival time at Windsor, queueing time to enter Windsor & traffic conditions. As you head towards Stonehenge, your tour guide will provide you with an introduction to the many mysteries & realities of the famous stone circle.
Entrance is included at Stonehenge, where you’ll have free time to explore the stone circle from the designated path as well as the visitor centre. Audio guides, which are provided by Stonehenge in a variety of languages, are included with the entrance ticket. As these are provided subject to availability, we encourage you to bring along some headphones, as the audio commentary can also be downloaded as a mobile phone app.
Search Stonehenge Audio Guide on your App Store.
All timings are approximate only, so please pay attention to your tour guide who will take the traffic, attraction opening times & other concerns into account to provide you with specific meeting times on the day.
After guided commentary on the coach en route, your tour guide will take you on a short walking tour of Bath’s city centre, pointing out the sights and attractions you might want to visit. Popular attractions include the Jane Austen Museum, the Roman Baths & Bath Abbey. You will then have free time to explore the city.
This is the approximate time that we will depart Bath to head back to London, but your tour guide will advise you of the exact time to meet back at the coach on the day.
There will be 2-3 drop-offs in central London subject to traffic & other considerations on the day. Our tour guide will advise the specific drop-off locations and will be happy to help with public transport advice if needed. Please note that there can be some traffic travelling back into central London & all itinerary times are approximate & subject to change.
